One thing was missing - top sheet.

The stairs were steep and narrow, making it difficult to carry our suitcases up. The room only had a floor fan, which was not enough to combat the heat. The tiny windows couldn't be opened properly, and the bed was uncomfortably hard. The thin sheets barely provided any coverage and the bathroom was old and tired. Light bulbs were missing from the fixtures and the communal kitchen was dirty and messy. The manager didn't speak English and we had trouble getting in without the necessary codes. The location was far from what we expected, mainly in a Vietnamese suburb with homeless people camped across the road. It was nothing like the photos or reviews we had seen. Considering our experience, I would be wary of staying at a house again.
